Controller of personal data

Buzgyova & Partners Law Firm (Адвокатско дружество „Бузгьова и Партньори“), BULSTAT 180963283, with registered office at 41 Todor Aleksandrov St., fl. 2, Blagoevgrad, represented by attorney Saifie Buzgyova, is the controller of the personal data processed through this website (the “controller”).

  • Address: 41 Todor Aleksandrov St., fl. 2, 2700 Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria
  • Email: buzgyovapartners@gmail.com
  • Telephone: +359 897 972 718

Data we process through the website

Through the website we process only the personal data you voluntarily provide when using the following features:

  • General contact form: first name, surname (optional), email address, telephone (optional) and the content of your message.
  • Free consultation form: name, email address, telephone (optional) and a description of the matter for which you seek legal assistance.
  • Legal blog subscription: email address, preferred language of the notifications and subscription status. When we publish a new article we send an automatic notification; you may unsubscribe at any time via the link included in every message.

The case description in the consultation form is free text. By its nature it may contain information about your health, family matters, criminal proceedings, employment or financial circumstances and other sensitive aspects of a legal matter. Such information is processed for the purpose of the initial assessment of your request, in compliance with attorney–client privilege and professional confidentiality. Where the description contains special-category data, an applicable condition under Article 9 GDPR must also be satisfied for its lawful processing. Please submit only the information that is genuinely necessary for the initial assessment of the matter — if additional details are needed, we will contact you.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Responding to inquiries and providing an initial consultation: we process the data you submit in order to respond to your request and — if you wish — to conduct an initial consultation. Where the processing is necessary for taking steps at your request prior to a possible conclusion of a contract for legal services, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other cases of reviewing and responding to incoming inquiries, where applicable, the basis is the controller’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Blog subscription: the basis is your consent, given by submitting the subscription form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link.

The website does not carry out automated decision-making or profiling of users.

Recipients and technical providers

In addition to the controller, the following technical providers are involved in the operation of the website:

  • Base44 — the platform on which the website is hosted and on which the data is stored and the emails are delivered;
  • Inquiries submitted through the two forms are delivered automatically and stored in “Post by BuzDesk” — the firm’s internal correspondence application, hosted on the same platform (Base44); only authorised members of the firm have access to it.
  • Google Fonts — the website’s font resources are currently loaded from Google’s servers through browser requests.

Your data is not sold and is not disclosed for marketing purposes. Entering any other website (e.g. Google Maps, Facebook or LinkedIn) is possible only on your initiative, via links, and the respective websites’ own privacy policies apply to them.

Retention period

Inquiries submitted through the contact form and the consultation form are retained until the respective inquiry is closed, after which they are due to be deleted or archived. The application currently implements no automatic deletion — records are deleted manually by authorised persons. A concrete retention period and record-review schedule is yet to be formally adopted.

Subscription records are retained until an unsubscribe request is received; after unsubscribing, the respective email address no longer receives notifications.

Retention may continue for a longer period where applicable law requires the data to be kept.

Your rights

Within the meaning of the GDPR you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • the right of access to your data and to information about its processing;
  • the right to rectification of inaccurate data;
  • the right to erasure of your data;
  • the right to restriction of processing;
  • the right to object to processing;
  • the right to data portability;
  • the right to withdraw your consent at any time (for the subscription), without affecting the lawfulness of the processing until its withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, write to buzgyovapartners@gmail.com. Requests are examined within the time limits provided for in the GDPR. Please note that erasure may be limited by applicable legal obligations or by an overriding legitimate interest — for example in the context of the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bulgarian supervisory authority — the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP).

Cookies and local storage

The website does not place analytics, profiling or marketing cookies and does not embed third-party elements that create such cookies. In the current configuration no optional cookies or similar technologies are used for which the website requires prior consent.

Security

Access to the submitted inquiries is restricted to authorised persons within the firm. Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and is stored in secured cloud infrastructure.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the processing of personal data or the applicable requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
